Your analytics say what shoppers do. A one-question survey tells you why, in their own words. The charm asks it when it drops in, once per visitor, and each answer takes one tap.
Start from a template
- How did you hear about us?: for new visitors, after a few seconds. Answers like Instagram, Google, A friend, and Somewhere else… for their own words. Put it next to where visitors came from: the ads you pay for, and what people remember.
- What's stopping you?: for visitors leaving with something in their cart. The price, shipping cost, needing more details… or their own words.
- Feedback poll: "What brings you here today?"
Set it up yourself
- Open the campaign and go to Collect leads.
- Write A quick question and 2 to 6 answers, one per line.
- Optional: Let visitors write their own answer. Its words ("Something else…") become the last button; pressing it opens a small box for their answer.
- Optional: add a form, and visitors who answer are asked for their email next. The answer is kept with the lead.
- Pick when it drops in and who sees it under When and where (for example, only new visitors, or only with a full cart).
Read the answers
On Leads, Poll answers shows each answer as a bar. Answers visitors wrote are counted together as Written answers, with the most common listed underneath; each is also in the table and the CSV.
The menu next to it splits the answers by where the visitors came from: what did people from Instagram say, compared with Google?
Answers in your email tools
When someone who answered also gives their email, the answer and where they came from go with them:
- Mailchimp: as tags, like
Pendling answer: A giftandCame from: instagram. - Klaviyo: as profile properties,
pendling_answerandpendling_came_from, for segments and flows. - Brevo and your webhook: the webhook has both; Brevo adds the contact to your list.
Privacy: what visitors write is only for you. Ad and analytics tools hear that a poll was answered and which listed answer was picked, never their own words.
